Hiero Badge

Hiero Badge (they/them) is a writer and philosopher living on Wurundjeri land in Melbourne. Their writing has featured in The Guardian, ABC News, The Age, Meanjin Quarterly, Overland Literary Journal, Archer Magazine, Junkee, Pedestrian, and more. They have spoken at numerous conferences and appeared on television and radio programs such as The Drum and Hack.

Hiero previously lectured in philosophy at Deakin University and currently teaches writing at Swinburne. In their spare time, they advise on public health policy pro-bono at Thorne Harbour Health and assist with media strategy at the Renters and Housing Union. They are known for advocating on a wide variety of issues including LGBTIQ rights, housing, economic justice, public health, drug policy, and privacy.
