Grace Williams

Grace Williams is an award-winning social entrepreneur, shaping grassroots capacity across Australian communities. A graduate of Law and Political Economy from the University of Tasmania, she was awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s award for global leadership and is internationally recognised for her advocacy work as a 2022 Echoing Green Global Fellow and a 2023 United Nations Human Rights Fellow. A global leader in social innovation, Grace is a founding member of the African Descendent Social Entrepreneurs Network, supported by the US State Department. The network creates positive social and economic impact in communities all over the world. A passionate filmmaker, creative and cultural practitioner, Grace works with national and global organisations like the Australian Film, Television and Radio School to create innovative programs that build the capacity of young Tasmanians to share their own stories and participate in democracy.
