For the last decade, Pas has been an anti-poverty and welfare-rights organiser and campaigner, working closely with people on some of the lowest incomes to build their voice and power, and resist cruel, punitive government policy.

Pas was one of the founders of Anti-Poverty Network South Australia, a grassroots, volunteer group, led by people directly affected by poverty and unemployment, and its inaugural state coordinator, from 2013-2018.

In 2019 and 2020, Pas worked for ACOSS, on the Raise The Rate campaign (the campaign to raise JobSeeker Payment), including during the early months of COVID when JobSeeker was temporarily doubled and lifted above the poverty-line, before returning back to Anti-Poverty Network SA, in late 2020.
