Lucy Osborn

A young woman with clear pink glasses and light brown hair just past her shoulders smiles into the camera.

Lucy Osborn is a paediatric nurse, planetary health advocate, and health systems educator with a decade of experience working across clinical practice, nursing leadership, and health equity.

Lucy builds policy and community narratives that centre children, vulnerable populations, and front-line care. She has led education programs, mental health reform initiatives, and specialist nursing projects that strengthen clinician competence, reduce restraint use, and improve outcomes for families navigating complex health systems.

A recognised communicator, Lucy has been interviewed on ABC, Channel 7, radio, and multiple podcasts, and featured across national print media. She is a keynote speaker at nursing, health and youth leadership conferences, where she speaks on workforce transformation, next-generation leadership, and the health impacts of environmental instability.

Grounded in patient advocacy and systems thinking, Lucy’s work reframes climate and environmental conditions as core determinants of health, particularly for children, First Nations people, people with disabilities, and older adults. She specialises in bridging clinical lived experience with research, policy, and education to drive structural change across health services as she continues her PhD studies.

Lucy is based in Australia and currently serves as an EMC spokesperson, working to translate emerging health risks into clear, action-focused solutions for communities and decision-makers.
