Jaspreet is a proud Sikh woman and is passionate about challenging and questioning the status quo. She has a background in Architecture and has completed her Masters in Disaster, Design and Development.

Jaspreet is adamant about not fitting within the boundaries created by society and lives to break stereotypes and assumptions. She is a fierce advocate for women’s rights and wishes to see a world in which women can live without fear, have autonomy, and dominate the world!

She is currently a Research Assistant and Training Co-ordinator at the Gender and Disaster Australia (GDA) an initiative of Women's Health in the North, Women's Health Goulburn North-East and Monash University Disaster Resilience Initiative. GDA previously known as GAD Pod was formally established in 2015 to promote an understanding of the role played by gender in survivor responses to natural disaster, and to embed these insights into emergency management practice.
